Owen Daniels' Celebrity Server Night A Success!
Tuesday, September 7, 2010
Owen Daniels, All-Pro Tight End for the Houston Texans, and Owen Daniels' Catching Dreams Foundation hosted ‘Owen Daniels and Friends Celebrity Server Night’ on August 30, 2010 at Morton’s The Steakhouse, located at 5000 Westheimer Road in Houston.
The inaugural event for Owen Daniels’ Catching Dreams Foundation began at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception, hor d’oeuvres and a silent auction as guests were invited to mingle with Owen and his celebrity guests. Consisting of Morton’s signature menu selections, a four-course dinner was then served at 7 p.m., followed by a live auction. Auctions included some of the most sought after Houston Texans memorabilia and other exclusive items.
“Tonight was a huge success,” Daniels stated. “I appreciate all my teammates who came out to support a good cause, Morton’s for being such great hosts and all the fans that came out to support us as well. It was a great event to kick-off my Foundation.”
Guests were greeted, seated and served by Owen and his celebrity guests, which included current Houston Texans—David Anderson, Shaun Cody, Brian Cushing, Andre Johnson, DeMeco Ryans, Matt Schaub, Steve Slaton and Eric Winston.
The event benefits Owen Daniels’ Catching Dreams Foundation, whose mission is to provide opportunities, support and resources to children and families in need. Nearly $80,000 was raised throughout the evening, which will impact the lives of critically and chronically ill children and their families throughout the Greater Houston area.
